Watford this evening - where can I park?

I am meeting some friends in Watford this evening. I was planning to park in the Harlequin Centre Car Park but understand this closes 1 hour after the shops shut. Not knowing my way around Watford and having only passed my test a short while ago I am a little nervous. I am vaguely aware of a car park near a Baptist Church in Watford, does anyone know if this is open in the evening? My final meeting point is Pizza Express in Watford.

If you're coming round the ring road then the first car park (just before the Harlequin one) is the Palace car park. It always used to stay open late for the Palace theatre. Best to check but it should be fine.

Or if you come in from the Hemel Hempstead direction there's a car park in the middle of the roundabout just past the college. Then you'd just have to cross over the road and you'd be at the end of the pedestrianised area.

I've just Googled 'Watford College' and it's on the A411 Hempstead Road. So if you were able to come in from that direction the college would be on your right then you'd get to the roundabout with the car park in the middle. If you go right round the roundabout almost back to Hempstead Road you'd see the entrance to the car park.

I'm not sure where you mean by the college but I do know the Palace car park and a quick google has confirmed it's open until midnight.
Just have to make sure I get the right turning into the right car park! I'm a terrible wuss when it comes to driving on my own at night!

I have my moments! I'm going out myself this evening and just killing a bit of time on Mumsnet and Facebook before I go.

Have a nice time! If you miss the turning you can always just follow the ring road all the way round again! Just stay in the 2nd to right hand lane the whole time and you'll get there eventually - some of the right hand lanes filter off on the way round.
