So glad to hear that parents evening was good and that B is doing so well - And a good Ofsted for the junior school is great - tell your mum !! Sorry to hear that B is poorly and that you are having such a horrid time with migraine- but at least you didn't miss the wedding or wearing the wrap dress !
Am sure they aren't worried about me - it's usual for everyone to see the oncologist then the surgeon alternately every six months I think for the next five years - I was quite surprised at the frequency. Think if you are having chemotherapy you'd see the oncologist more during treatment.

Nice news about parent's evening and a great Ofsted for the Junior School is... well...great!
Here all is well. Have had a very stressful 24 hours as we had an email form the eAdmissions telling us Oliver's application for secondary school had been unsubmitted and if we did not resubmit it by tomorrow he would not have a place at aschool next year.
Cue frantic checking from us - we have confirmation emails and our login at dAdmisions showed our status as 'submitted' , so we are very confused. These things always pop up when all the helplines are closed so I could not get onto them until first thing this morning. Anyway, for some reason the application showed as 'in progress' instead of 'submitted' at their end (?) so we re-submitted. but now they can't find the re-submitted one adn are saying the original one (dated Oct 5th) is the one submitted. AAARRRGGGHHH. So basically, I don't think the system is very secure, I cannot get to the bottom of this (neither can they) so I just have to hope his application is making it's way through the system. I shall be a nervous wereck by March!!

Then today also work decided to send me on a 5 day (one day a week for 5 weeks) training course. Great, am pleased, if they are investing in me my job must be secure-ish. The course is at teh Guildford Cathedral Refectory and I will need childcare before adn after school. As it is half term school need to know by tomorrow if I can go on the course so I am running around trying to get things sorted.... AAAARRRGGGHHH.
(And my main worry is wether there is on-site parking, you both know how I get when driving and parking in a strange place... )

Yes parking at the cathedral is very easy. Free and copious! Oh and easy to find too! I'm sure you can arrange childcare - and whenever I had a course at the cathedral we were always well fed! (a long time ago though, so might be credit-crunched!) How exciting to be receiving training!

Eek about the school submission Surely if you received confirmation emails, then it's all fine??? You've made me slightly panic now too... I'm sure you must be fine.

Haven't told mum yet about Ofsted. She'll find something to pick holes in no doubt

What are you plans for half-term? We're off to MIL's as long as B is well. We come back on Wednesday and then have a few friends to catch up with and a party on the 31st. We all feel very ready for some time off.

Great news about the parking Actually, have just looked up the course, I only have one session at the cathedral, the others are at Guildford Children's Centre (Hazel Avenue) and George Abbot School.

Have managed to sort childcare for all but one afternoon - will ask around the other children at school to see if I can get her off somewhere for tea [fingers crossed]

Right, better go, have E adn her friend H coming here for an early tea and they we will be off to the school Halloween Disco

gulp about school application hippi - hope it gets sorted - fingers all crossed. And good news about the course - will be very exciting -especially if there are refreshments
