Presents lost in post

A few weeks ago I mailed birthday presents for my friend and her DH (birthdays very close). They have still not arrived - problem is we're seeing them in a few days. Do I keep waiting for them to turn up or buy new presents? Were just sent 1st class, not registered or anything.

I would wait a bit longer they could still turn up. Presumably she knows they've got lost in the post? If you have proof of postage I think you can claim up to about £30 after 15 days.

Yes, they know they're lost. Still need to wait another week before contact Royal Mail, have receipt luckily.
