Go straight from school, 1 mile cycle/walk, 1 hour train journey (with one change), walk to find somewhere to eat(if time, if not eat after meeting or poss bring picnic), walk to destination, sit quietly for 1/2 hour while a meeting takes place, walk back to train station (1/2 mile), hour home on train, mile walk/cycle uphill home. Estimated arrival home 7/7.30 just in time for stories and bed.

Provided that is the trains run on time....

Stories and attention on a train super, but it may be a little tiring after a day at school??

Can you not pull in a favour for someone to look after him - can imagine tears and frayed tempers about half way through the planned journey; especially if the trains are running late.

If I tried that with mine, they would be that restless there is no chance they would do the sitting quietly part!

Its dp who would have to do the journey so I'm in the clear on that. I'm looking round to see if I can find anyone to take dd. Hopefully I may get someone. Problem is dd is going through a really clingy phase and doesnt want to go to anyones house.

I am also trying to get dp to see if the meeting can be later so that I can get home and take dd. I cant leave work early taht day either or I'd do that.
