AT LAST.....some GOOD news!!

I have just rung the debt place and after months of battles and paperwork and struggling to manage, our IVA has gone through! We start paying £183 a month as opposed to the £500+ we were struggling to manage. I know we've still got 5 years ahead of paying it but after that its finished! The rest if the debt gets wiped!!! at least we will be comfortable and be able to manange during that time!!!

It's such a relief I can tell you! A great weight of mine and DHs shoulders. Feel like we can get on with life a bit more now

If you'll allow me a little bit of transference here: Don't let yourself start to think you're better off now, and can afford indulgences. I'm totally hopeless with money. Spend it in advance of having it, then spend it again when it comes in.

yes we have already decided that pt....the IVA allows us a good amount to live on to include £70 a month for clothes, £40 for personal stuff like haircuts, opticians etc, £500 for food and an allowance for the pets. We are taking out the money for the food every week and spending only that. we have started going to asda as opposed to having tescos deliver it and thats already saved us about £40 a week.

i am trying to sell stuff actually and that includes some of the buggies! got an incentive to save up a bit now!!!
