curtains style

ive bought material to make the curtains but i need to make "modern" curtains... which i dont have a clue what are "modern" curtains styles are look like as ive got a modern 2nd living room.

any ideas pls? - thanks

I have just put eyelet curtains in our bedroom, they look modern. Not sure how you would make them as I bought them ready made.
