How many threads is this now?

OP posts:
Berrie · 04/04/2009 14:17

But you are right...the people in the playground are going to think I'm a born again Muslim.

EdwardCullensWife · 04/04/2009 16:13

Nope. Still too Indian.

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 09:41

Where is everyone?
Oggs, now you've got broadband you don't come on the net anymore
Zeb, are you too busy enjoying your garden? Still reading BD?
Berrie, any improvement on the back? Have you been able to get out?

Berrie · 05/04/2009 12:09

I'm still here!

Yes, been out to a camping shop to look at tents. My back hurt so much I thought I would be sick but I had a lovely time.

I think that the children will be pleased when we tell them in years to come that we spent their money on a family tent.

Any plans for this afternoon?

oggspocket · 05/04/2009 14:59

Hello

Lyra, various reasons why I've not been on much...

...we now have broadband... dh and dd have discovered youtube
...dd is able to access all the online kids games that we couldn't load before
... I'm having problems with emails and am trying to sort it. Between us we have five email addresses and also both receive emails through a website, related to different aspects of the organisation of the festival. I need to sort all that out by using a different client
... I need to go through all the different sites that have my email address (amazon, ebay, mn, flickr and loads of others and notify them of the change but can't do this until I get the bloody email up and running
... have had loads going on and dd has had school play to sort and is now off for 2 weeks
.......... and last but not least I'm trying to find time to read a certain book

Berrie, what sort of tent have you got?
I like some of the stuff on that site (mainly the kitchen accessories). The shoes are not really suitable for my lifestyle

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 15:44

Sounds like you've been very busy Oggs.
Today we have spent the morning lazing around in our pyjamas (DP is at work). Then I took the boys for a picnic lunch at the park across the road, then we've spent the last two hours removing the tiles from the bathroom walls. I gave the boys a hammer each and they had great fun actually being aloud to smash something up for a change.
They've been nagging me for days to let them watch my vampire movie
I'm about to put it on for them but only from the baseball scene onwards. I think they might find the earlier bits boring.

Berrie · 05/04/2009 16:09

We didn't buy one yet...just looking. We don't know whether to risk a cheap one or buy a forever one (tis the kiddies money afterall )

Am getting rather worried about my late night purchases on asian website since you both disapprove...

I think ds's might be a tad disapointed with the vampire film!

oggsfrog · 05/04/2009 16:19

I don't disapprove at all Berrie. There really is some nice stuff on there. It's just not me. I live in two outfits.
Messy mens trousers, jersey top and skanky cardi/jumper for everyday (and I mean every single day. The same things.)
When I go out... go out. ie: to do the food shopping/go to the library or say for instance the school play, then I wear the same jeans I wore to our meet-up, a different top and a slightly smarter cardi.
That's it. My wardrobe.

I do have loads of other clothes but I never wear them.

The stuff I wear at home is worn for kneeling on a dirty floor when I do the fires (numerous times during the day), mucking out chickens or horses, bringing in wood/coal, doing the garden and is ruined within an hour of me putting it on so I just wear the same things over and over until they literally fall apart.
The top I'm wearing now has a big hole under one arm .

Feetwise I wear a pair of horrendous pink mock crocs all day every day (andget wet feet when it's raining cos of the holes in them). If I go out I wear my walking boots.

God. I'm quite a catch aren't I

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 16:28

I just showed them the baseball scene and the fight scene. The rest too boring for them.

Berrie · 05/04/2009 18:25

You certainly are Oggs!

Sounds very comfortable actually.Do you ever miss dressing up? I'm wondering how much of what we wear is for other people and how much is fo ourselves.

Tonight I actually made my family a meal It was very nice too. I am dreading next week. I don't have a whole lot of stamina and the house is in a dreadful state. Nothing has been put away for 3 weeks...or so it seems to me...I'll just have to put up with it as trying to do it will finish me off I think.

Berrie · 06/04/2009 09:17

Morning all.
What's on today?

My brother and his wife are having a baby this morning so I'm waiing in for the phonecall. Caesarean at 8am. Then I reckon we ought to go out and buy a present. Trip to Mothercare I reckon.

LastOrders · 06/04/2009 09:56

Got one on there!

Berrie · 06/04/2009 10:14

Oh I lost you!

EdwardCullensWife · 06/04/2009 10:48

?

oggsfrog · 06/04/2009 14:55

Any news on the baby Berrie? Hope they are all well.

Ooh... Edward has just driven Bella home after confirming he's a vampire.
He's very enigmatic. Crush is developing nicely.
Not keen on the beige jacket and ivory polo neck though

Berrie · 06/04/2009 15:04

All delivered safely... text received while I was in Asda choosing a frock for her.
Word is the rest of the family have been emailed a picture
Ah well!

Berrie · 06/04/2009 15:07

Am thinking that my Dad, rather than leaving me a message on my answer phone that he's noticed I haven't been copied in on the e-mailed picture might have just forwarded it to me...

EdwardCullensWife · 06/04/2009 17:08

Congrats to Mr Berriebrother and wife.
Oggs, the best bits are chapters 13-15. Melt.

EdwardCullensWife · 06/04/2009 18:30

My bathroom's finally going in. or coming out, actually. There's nothing in it apart from a load of pipes. The separate loo is in though and it's new and clean. Hurrah!

EdwardCullensWife · 06/04/2009 18:31

We're going to have to wash in the kitchen sink for a while

Berrie · 06/04/2009 19:11

Hope they get it finished before the bank holiday weekend or you will be stuck!

oggsfrog · 06/04/2009 20:00

Yes, congratulations auntie Berrie

I'm halfway through chapter 12 and reading in little chunks 'cos I don't want to finish the book .
Unfortunately I watched some youtube last night .
I had the sound turned down so I didn't hear what they were saying but I'm afraid Robert Pattinson just doesn't cut it for me at all.

Have spent most of today trying to get his image out of my mind and replace it with someone better.

oggsfrog · 06/04/2009 20:20

I know the hair is wrong but this is the Edward I've got in my head.

oggsfrog · 06/04/2009 20:22

Here he is with shorter hair.

EdwardCullensWife · 06/04/2009 20:29

He's not my Edward but he's an improvement on film Edward.
