How many threads is this now?

OP posts:
oggsdog · 19/03/2009 08:47

He's a bit big for that Berrie; 5.5" all told

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 19/03/2009 08:48

What a load of tripe. I can't believe you made me read it! Badly written. Cliched. Predictable. Shall I go on?

Only joking. I loved it. I made myself stop at halfway, as I really did need my beauty sleep last night. Something tells me I'll polish the rest off tonight. And yes, Edward is lovely, although I'm still trying to make a picture of him in my head. Any suggestions?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 19/03/2009 08:49

Congratulations on making it downstairs Berrie. Even if it ain't spotless.
Did I ever tell you the story of the farmer's wife who had to rest upstairs following a caesarian? She finally gave in and came downstairs when the food was being served on saucers.

Watching the film messes with your image of him I find so don't watch it until you've finished all 4.
I did like the film though!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 19/03/2009 09:53

Is the film faithful to the book? I've just looked and it's out on dvd on 6th April. This gives me just over two weeks to read all of them before I watch it. Still, as an unemployed single mum of 40 as of 1st April, what else am I to do with my time?

Berrie · 19/03/2009 10:29

Woo hoo..will be getting that then! Would put it on the calender if I could get up.

Yes it is very faithful to the book. Sometimes the camera catches Edward from the wrong angle and he looks all wrong but he does the intense look really well a couple of times! Enjoy the last of your first time...you can never have it again.
I reckon tomorrow I should be alone so I'll stay in bed all day and read the last book...can't...quite...bear...the idea of there being no more...

EdwardCullensWife · 19/03/2009 10:58

The question was in what film did Robert Pattinson (?) play the character of vampire Edward Cullen. Of course I got it right.
Zeb, glad you're loving it. I was afraid you'd hate it. I'm also envious that it's your first time. And two weeks is plenty to read all the books. I did it in a week.
I want to see the film but I'm worried that it will spoil my Edward in my head. And the Cullens' house is nothing like it is in the book.
Berrie, you must read Midnight Sun, even though there's only half of it.

EdwardCullensWife · 19/03/2009 11:05

Berrie, in the clips I've seen on Youtube, it looks like there's no Victoria in the film. Is that right? How will they get round that problem when they come to film New Moon and Eclipse? She's kind of an important character.
Ogg, I agree with Berrie. Forget HP and read Twilight. You can't be in our gang till you do

Berrie · 19/03/2009 11:07

She's there, fear not!

Berrie · 19/03/2009 11:10

The Edward in the film doen't have the poise and authority he needs. But really, I remember I wanted to watch it all again just for an oggle so he must have done something right.

Berrie · 19/03/2009 11:11

Oggs, I could fir 5" in my bra easily!

oggsdog · 19/03/2009 12:29

Ah, but it's that extra half inch that matters Berrie

I could easily fit him in but he'd either be suffocated or I'd have to go around with his head poking out

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 19/03/2009 13:06

Are we back to talking about DT again?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 19/03/2009 13:47

I've just ordered New Moon and Eclipse from Amazon. I can't figure out if the fourth one's in paperback yet or not, maybe I'm being thick.

EdwardCullensWife · 19/03/2009 15:20

I bought Breaking Dawn in hardback. Didn't see it in paperback anywhere.

oggsdog · 19/03/2009 17:11
EdwardCullensWife · 19/03/2009 17:13

Already done, Oggsy, already done.
Zeb, this is the author's perfect Edward. Apparently he was too old by the time filming started.

oggsdog · 19/03/2009 17:15
oggsdog · 19/03/2009 17:16

Ooh. Very nice.

EdwardCullensWife · 19/03/2009 17:19

Very nice indeed. He would have been perfect.

Berrie · 19/03/2009 17:32

Yes he's pretty nice...the thing is, Edward is old.
Come on Lyra, link me to your favourite Twilight site!

EdwardCullensWife · 19/03/2009 17:56

I don't have a favourite, I've just picked up bits and bobs from here and there. Mainly the stepheniemeyer.com site. That's where I found all the cringe-worthy merchandise.

EdwardCullensWife · 19/03/2009 17:56

He may be old but he's supposed to look 17.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 19/03/2009 19:10

Niiiice Lyra!
