How many threads is this now?

OP posts:
EdwardCullensWife · 12/03/2009 11:53

Bit late in the year for a new diary isn't it? Is it filled with pictures of DT?

Berrie · 12/03/2009 12:41

Oggs, I'll send you ds. He Watches Dr Who EVERY NIGHT when he comes home from school. Unfortunately I am going to have to delete them as he keeps saying. 'What the hell?' and 'Oh my God' both of which come from Dr Who and are not very charming phrases for a 5 year old. Even a tardis money box he has has Martha saying, 'oh my God it's a time machine!' or something like it.

oggsdog · 12/03/2009 13:10

Bit late in the year Lyra? It's only March. It's never too late for anything when DT is involved.
I'm hoping it's got lots of pics but it didn't have a picture of the diary so I'll have to wait and see.

Berrie, does he not find them a bit scary? Dd is 9 and doesn't want to watch them yet .
Dd keeps coming out with OMG... I try to get her to change it to OM dog or gods

Berrie · 12/03/2009 13:23

Apparently not. I like my dog, will try that!

EdwardCullensWife · 12/03/2009 19:11

Phew. I've just spent the last 40 minutes flying round the house like a madwoman trying to make it look like I've done something other than read all day (again ). It's amazing how much housework you can fit into such a short space of time.

Berrie · 12/03/2009 19:20

Have you finished the second book yet? Where do you read?

Berrie · 12/03/2009 20:05

Yikes have just booked the holiday!
£568 for a fortnight camping in the South of France in June.
Better make my baked bean shopping list. Have I time to go on a Bikini diet do you think? Don't answer that, can't be arsed, I'm happier fat!

oggsdog · 12/03/2009 21:42

Woo! Is it the campsite you linked to?

Bikini diet

EdwardCullensWife · 12/03/2009 22:06

That's a damn good price Berrie. And it should be pleasantly warm but not too hot at that time of year.
I'm itching to finish the second book but DP has been complaining that he hasn't seen me all week (ben reading in front room in the evenings) so I'm making myself spend some time with him. Hopefully he'll go to bed soon (sorry DP). The question is, will I be able to resist starting the third book? Probably not.

oggsdog · 13/03/2009 07:07

Morning

Lyra, did you manage to get to bed last night or did you stay up all night reading?

Are they by Stephanie Mayer? I'll be at the library today so I'll see if they've got them.

Berrie, does your Dad live in France? When you said you'd booked, did you mean flights too or are you going for the cheapies?

oggsdog · 13/03/2009 07:30

Anyone watching Comic Relief tonight?

Specifically the first hour or so??

The bit where DT is presenting???

Anyone fancy taping it???? (obviously will recompense)

Berrie · 13/03/2009 08:06

It better be bloody hot

Thats for everything flights as well.
My Dad has a house in France but I've never been. He has a vehicle there though which we can use.(or so he says, we'll see)

Don't think I can let you read the 3rd book without me Lyra.
Meyer Oggs, they were in the bestsellers list a few weeks ago so £3ish in Tesco if that's closer than the library and does books. Otherwise order it from amazon?

Re comic relief Oggs, I think our video player is out of order since dvd's were pushed in it...will find out once sorted kids out.

EdwardCullensWife · 13/03/2009 09:10

Groooooaaaaann. Up till 2am finishing book 2 and starting book 3 (sorry Berrie). Too much wine consumed in the process. Groan.

EdwardCullensWife · 13/03/2009 09:12

Oggs, I'll tape it for you but I might forget. Do you still have my mobile number? Text me a reminder 10 minutes before.

Berrie · 13/03/2009 09:24

Sorry, can't seem to get it to work Oggs.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 13/03/2009 12:21

Oggs, I'm really sorry but I don't have any way of recording stuff. I will be watching though and thinking of you. Does that help.

I think I need to buy this novel when I pop out for my lunch.

EdwardCullensWife · 13/03/2009 12:37

Buy all four Zeb. Actually don't, you might hate them.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 13/03/2009 13:44

Ok. I bought the first one!

oggsdog · 13/03/2009 15:29

Thanks so much Lyra. I'm so sad aren't I?
Yes, if your mobile no. is the same as in Jan last year then I've got it.

The library didn't have it, nor did Asda (funds don't run to a Tesco shop at the moment) . I'll have to wait until I go to the bigger library later this month.

A friend had a baby boy yesterday so now I have an excuse to knit a teeny, tiny hat, so that's me sorted for tonight.
I'll try and watch some Blackpool or Dr Who, just to get a fix .

Casanova. Was it a sort of comedy? or a straight up (oooer) drama?
Visually he doesn't do much for me in that, but I can always 'watch' it while I'm knitting and just listen to his voice.

Ha. Just noticed the Red Nose emoticons .

EdwardCullensWife · 13/03/2009 15:38

I'll be out till six-ish. What time does it start?
Zeb, are you going to start tonight? You'll probably wonder what all the fuss was about now I've hyped it up so much.

oggsdog · 13/03/2009 15:41

I believe it starts at 7pm and from what I can see he's only presenting for the first hour.

Berrie · 13/03/2009 16:12
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 13/03/2009 16:43

No Berrie, it was YOUR advice, I promise. I'm just too much of an intellectual snob to have bought it to read on my train journey.

Oggs - Casanova is good, and he's really adorable in it. It's got comedy in it, but it's also drama, and without giving anything away, the ending is sad and a bit shocking. But it is most definitely worth watching.

7-8pm? Hmmm. I have to get DS first and try to throw him into bed and make him sleep early.

Oh. And I've had a productive afternoon figuring out what I get if I sign on from 1st April. . I'm not saying I'll be rich, but blimey, it's more than the average income down here!!!! Not to mention I'll get legal aid to pay for my divorce. Sabbatical here I come. It is also substantially lower than my current income so DH is going to have to pay up.

Berrie · 13/03/2009 19:59

Did nothing come of your interview?

Did DH go to hospital?

Berrie · 13/03/2009 20:00

Oggs Oggs, I hope Lyra is taping this for you...
