Getting Married!!

Started on site stuff by dyzzidi, thought I'd move it here... if you're getting married and want a chat about your wedding, then here is the place !!

I'm getting married May 28th, and we got the rings today... still not completely sure on shoes, and need them by 27th April at the very latest !!!

I am already (4 years this year ) so probably shouldn't really post here, but....

Congratulations!

Don't worry, it will all fall into place - I think I found the right shoes for mine literally 3 days before hand!

Have fun shopping for shoes. I was in 'your shoes' haha ;) two years ago. I got a compromise pair then took them back when I saw a better pair and put those on order. Before the ones came in on order, I found the perfect pair.

hello, also already married but can't resist posting anyway. i got my shoes from debenhams in nottingham about an hour before the wedding. (they were nice black evening shoes, as my dress was purple).

just ordered my veil off ebay for £8.50. Its the right colour and everything

I will get organised only shoes and kilt hire to go!

I am also already married 2.5yrs now, there seems like so much to do in the weeks before but it iall eventually gets there. Have a wonderful day!!!! Its such a great day, little things may go a bit haywire but on the day you just won't panic about it.

You might live to regret starting this thread as lolliepops can testify (as well as anyone else I happen to bump into, talk to on phone, pass in the street) Im in full bridezilla mode!

I have booked venue (Mill Forge Gretna Green)
Bought dress (bargain off ebay)
Bought flowergirls dresses
Arranged bridesmaids outfits
Bought my tiara
Bought my underskirt
Booked photographer
Ordered flowers
Booked and paid for minister
Decided on colour scheme
Booked honey moon (2 week BEFORE wedding but hey ho)

Still need to....
Buy rings (cant decide between plain band or diamonds)
Arrange Dps suit
Buy suit for DS
Buy shoes
Buy veil
Buy little bits and pieces for table decorations

and PAY FOR IT ALL!

I am getting wed in Vegas so they are sorting out flowers/photos/dvd etc just got to pick either violinist or guitarist.

Colour scheme is red/white what's yours peckarollover?

I have bought all my party bits and bobs from ebay really cheap and all my tiaras.

Nearly done just got to get shoes, dads kilt and gifts.

Thanks for that link NDP I will got to the local stockists on Saturday.

Table decorations : these are great for holding table numbers/menus/embarrassing photos of the bride & groom/whatever on the table

Yay!!! Thread has taken off!!!

I can't see the pic of your dress

Our colours are cream and periwinkle blue (matches DD's eyes). FINALLY got the shoes!!

Went to Lakeside to meet some lovely ladies off a website, and happened to spot a shoe shop, and found a pair that were perfect fit!!! ... will reprhase.. PSYCHOMUM found them (she'll beat me otherwise), I was looking for shoes for her son at the time!! Anyway, they are the indiany type ones that are about lots at the moment - flat, gold sparklies on them. (The dress has lots of gold so they go nicely)... Boy is now scared I am wearing a belly dancing outfit or something!!!

Our rings... Boy got a titanium one with a diamond, and mine is a gold engraved one. It looked too much with my engagaement ring too though, so I am having that enlarged to wear on the other hand.

Finished sorting flowers today, pretty much all that's left is order of service and making the party favours (my mum probably has a HUGE list of other things that I don't know about though .

We have established that I will be sobbing my heart out on the day... met up with the minister to go through all the wording, and I was choked up just reading it

Just had to post when I saw this thread - my friend is getting married today at 2pm but 500 miles away and I couldn't go. Am totally gutted, wish I was there and feeling quite teary, ridiculous woman that I am.
