I remember a thread a long time ago where someone linked to a site with pictures of old brownie badges. Now I can't find the thread - or the website!

Anyone remember it or know the website? Thanks

ellingwoman · 17/02/2009 13:16

I have all mine from the 60s. They were really hard to get - I can't imagine anyone wanting to get rid of them!

RiojaLover75 · 17/02/2009 13:20

Still got mine too! Mine are from the 80's.

I agree EW they were quite hard to earn so I'm not sure I'd want to get rid of them. I'll show them to my DS's when they're older!

I was thrown out of asked to leave brownies after a week for subversive behaviour

Did just have a quick look on Ebay and they really don't go for that much girls!

For my shame....

We were told we were making shell animals and to bring in shells, glue, glitter, felt tips etc ourselves
We spent a lovely evening making shell animals. When I went to pick mine up (thought we were making them for our mums) I was told to put it back as they were going to be sold in the jumble sale to raise money for the church.

I got quite upset and said (probably loundly)that it wasn't fair that we had brough in all the ingredients (!) and couldn't take them home. Lots of other small girls agreed and started saying it wasn't fair too and Brown Owl got really peed off.

When my folks came to collect me she said she didn;t think I should come back as I didn't understand 'the brownie way'

Also, I had said I didn't want to promise to God because I didn;t believe in him [deep shame]
