I thought they had gone into receivership?
Its just that I am still getting emails from them to buy online

I thought they were in administration, in which case they may continue to trade (usually while looking for a buyer) if there is a potentially viable business there.

Just because they have gone into receivership (actually I think they have called in teh administrators and I am not sure if that is ubtley different) doesn't mean they cease trading immediately.

Woolworths called in teh adminstrators early/mid December IIRC....but were still trading on hte 6th Jan.

One of our 3 local Adams stores is still open.

Flier · 13/02/2009 13:58

ah, I thought all stores had closed.

Just don't buy gift vouchers from them.

Our Adams went a couple of years ago now so I think they must have struggled for a while. We lost woolies a few years back too.

No, i've been into our Adams this morning. They are selling stuff at buy one get one half price at the mo. Got some nice stuff in

Not all of the stores are closing. Our local one is one of those "saved". Don't ask me how, just remember reading about it in the local rag. Think they kept some open in hope that someone would buy them out
