How do I get Messenger off my PC? Please!

Step daughter's dd has been using this on my PC which means I keep getting annoying conversations popping up. I want to delete the program but can't see it when I got to 'add/remove programs' in my computer. What am I doing wrong? TIA!

Found it in prog files but it's saying 'cannot delete smsmmg.exe because it is being used. Aaghh!

Its quite far down on my list. It just says MSN messenger 6.2 and underneath is MSN Toolbar (which I'm fairly sure I didn't install). I'd guess you just click on that, and do the add remove thing and it should do it for you.

Oh bugger, I've just clicked that to check what it would do and I think I've uninstalled it .
