fitted home offices ie sharps

has anyone had a fitted office installed? dh works occasionally from home, all he has at the moment is a rickety old desk for his computer, which i am sure is contributing to his painful shoulder and back. when we move house i am hoping to get an office space in our new bedroom. its quite a big bedroom, with a slanted roof at one end that in my mind would be ideal for a small office space. not sure of the cost, dont want to get sharps or whoever around if its way out of our league

cheers

What about the Ikea range of office furniture - we have a home office and it works really well. It is a few years old now so I can't be too sure of the cost now (I don't remember it being too pricey).

We didn't get the chair from Ikea though. DH is 6ft6 and they just weren't comfortable enough - we went to an specialist office shop for that.
Hope this helps.

dh is about 6'6" too

i like ikea - his chair which he loves loads is from there but i was wanting to get a proper measured height desk for him, worried if i buy a desk from a shop it still wont be the crrect height

thats why i wanted a fitted special one, but if its too dear ill go to ikea thanks x

we had them in to quote - ridiculours price for furniture that is not bespoke and isn't actually fitted to your exact space - just standard units.

went to Ikea and bought some there.

honestly? damn it, was hoping for something better than that

thanks

I always think those fitted offices look like you have a kitchen in one of your bedrooms!

i just wanted a desk basically and a few shelves for dh, he has major shoulder pain and i thought they would build one to the proper height he needs, but if its standard sizes theni wont bother
