Hello Marina, its nice to be missed! I am still here and browse occasionally but have been WORKING (hurrah!) as a copywriter and have to ration my internet usage otherwise I never get any work done. Also I found mumsnet a bit intense for a while and found that I felt better if I wasn't logging on - some of the discussions got a bit personal. To be honest, I feel that the whole ethos of the original site is changing and I no longer feel quite as much 'at home' here as I once did - no criticism of mumsnet, its just the way things go I guess.

Thanks for asking about my brother, he is still very depressed but seems to be staying clear of the drugs so thats something I suppose.

I am really getting my life in gear and my two dds are gorgeous in the extreme and I feel very lucky to have them - they were even good walking round Ikea yesterday, now you can't ask for more than that IMO!!! (by the way I thoroughly recommend the Ikea Antilop - it is such a great highchair, dd2 loves it and only £15!!!! Stylish too if you ask me).

So I am still here but not as much as before, I hope everyone is well, Marina, I think of you and your family often, lets keep in touch.

I had to just post to say that I 100% agree with you - Mumsnet has really changed - it doesn't feel as comforting somehow anymore, much more aggressive and "in ya face" and I too am not coming as often as before and am really quite reluctant to post about anything interesting. I really miss it - but I guess we all have to move on ?

I'm quite new to mumsnet but post a lot and I worry that I offend people with how I am saying things. It's quite hard to convey your meaning in words sometimes without rambling on.

Can you explain to me how you felt the site was when you first joined and how you feel it has changed to now. I hope I'm not putting you on the spot and understand if you don't want to answer but I am genuinely interested in hearing your views on how it has become less comforting and more aggressive.

Sorry meanmum but no, I'm not going to go into it here as I just know it will start off some ridiculous row. I don't want to change mumsnet anyway, I just feel differently about it these days.

But seriously folks...pupuce, SIL is busy busy busy with her two and I think she's had probs with internet connection/computer too.

I am feeling much better thanks for asking suedonim, taking lots of vitamins and really trying to stay well. We are on a massive economy drive at the moment so eating lots of cheap fresh veggies (we grow them) and not drinking very much and I think that is helping my general sense of wellbeing.

also doing lots of writing so I'll let you know when the novel gets published!!
