Got any interesting scars????

Bein nosey... have you got any interesting scars?

Mine is a nice boring one where my belly button piercing went nasty and I took it out.

Have you seen the dove advert with the woman with the star shaped scar? It looks much prettier than most

I have a cool scar on my right shoulder - looks like a lion clawed me - where I fainted and fell through a glass door while naked. I had got out of an extremely hot bath to answer the phone and my blood pressure didn't like the rapid change....was on the phone to the estate agent, and he was still on the line when I woke up!!!!!

Also got laparoscopy scars x 2
Chin scars from falling over x many (seem to think now that as a child my arms didn't work at saving me!)
A tooth in my lip still from falling down concrete steps n smashihg my two front teeth at the age of 8
One across my thigh from where my mother tried to squeeze me into too tight plastic nappy pants
Dog bite scar on my wrist....just missed the important veins
One on my toes from dropping a metal candlabra corner down, while trying to pick it up one-handed as I wasn't for putting down my wine....saved the wine!!!!
Many on the backs of my hands and on my wrists from needles....drip sites....for some reason I scar EVERY TIME I need a drip put up!
I also probably have lots on my scalp hidden by my hair....got knocked out lots as a child...was very clumsy!

I had malformed hips at birth, and they messed about with both until they worked after a fashion. Right one was easy, so the scars on my right side have about faded, but the left needed more than one go, and a permanent plate was put in. Cos it was the wrong shape, the hip started to cause pain from about 22, but I carried on with it for 20 more years till the replacement. Surgeon took out the plate, which is why my thigh shattered (screw hole across the bone).

One that runs from under my left ear for about six inches then drops down to my collar bone.
One small one from a drain, associated op.

One on my forehead where I was climbing over a low wall missed my footing, fell and came up with some broken bottle in my forehead.

One on my ear where I slipped and split the earlobe open, trying to do Irish dancing in the kitchen !!!!

One on my knee, when I fell off my bike.

Laparascopy scar

C-Section scar.

One on my thumb, where I tried to discover just how sharp stanley knives were, when my dad was having a tea break whilst decorating. I was 6 and it was at the top the ladder, talk about determined.

Ouch Easy! I was informed that plates will either last for ever or cause pain from 7-10 years after insertion (depending on growth). Mine lasted 9 years. At least things have improved for todays toddlers having treatment (were we guinea pigs?)

One on my knee from school days - boy running full pelt down corridor ran out of door, knocking tiny little me flying. Went about 3 foot through the air, landing with weight on one knee and continued skidding across the gravel playground. Big hole left in knee where skin and flesh scrubbed away. 30 odd years later, scar isn't too bad but knee really hurts when the weather turns damp.

DH is the scarred one in our house as very accident prone with a tendency towards the near fatal.

I have a heart shaped scar on my knee from my primary school days.

Was practicing for the three-legged race on gravel. Very sore at the time. I knew there was a reason for hating school sports.

I have got a few wicked ones on my knees from climbing barbed wire fences

Got a 6 incher on my left knee from a big op i had in 95, a small h shaped one from having a lump removed from my breast when i was 19, and some small dots where i had my sterilisation in 2001.

loads on my knees and legs from playing with the boys when i was younger, a lot younger.
one on the front of my head from tripping and falling against a stone building playing chase in school
one on back of head that you cant see with my hair, by doing rollie pollies in my back garden when i was little trying to impress a boyfriend. i hit a big stone doing it though.
two on my hand, one from a rat bite and one from a scrape with a protruding nail
and my most proud one is my c section scar. thats the way my wonderful dd came into my life and made me so so happy

I've got a line on my eyebrow where a girl pushed a gate shut in my face and the latch thing stuck in my eye - looks cool though when the shaved eyebrow lines are in fashion lol

dp has a huge one right round his arm by his elbow that cuts off his veins so they stick out where the blood has nowhere to go - its gross lol
He got it because someone broke into his flat and attacked him with his own machete!!!!

I have one from when I was 12 and my bro knocked me off my bike. The spoke of the wheel went through my leg on my inner left thigh and I had to have stitches. My brother was in a lot of trouble and I bled it for all it was worth!!!!

erm

scar under my chin and on my cheekbone from when i was bitten by an alsation when i was about 11.

one on my knee from when i was chased by a rottwieler when i was bout 14 n i fell into a load of rubble took weeks to get it all out.

c section scar.

laparoscopy scar.

and about an 8 inch scar going from my belly button to my c section scar from where i had a cyst removed when i was 5 months pregnant.

one on chin wher my teeth went through my bottom lip. We wer swinging on a green house frame, and jumping onto a beanbag. I mistimed it and ended up chin first in a bench. It bled and bled. Also an few tiny bald patches on my head from childhood fights with my big brother. My head used to get banged on walls and bleed.

Dd has a heart surgery scar, but hers is very unusual as it goes across her chest (bra-line sort of level and shape) so she can wear low cut tops etc without the scar being noticable. She also has all the drainage tube/pacing wire scars.

6 inch across collarboen when broken twice and palted together
2 round scars on right leg from when it was pinned
scar on right hip from falling onto barbed wire from my horse
small scar and lump from skull fracture at very base of skull just in hairline (hairline fracture even!)
scar on right palm from carpal tunnel surgery
8 inch scar from emergency ectopic surgery last November.
And I have had 35 broken bones 31 of them at once!!!!!!!!!!! and 11 general anaesthetics
Bloody horses huh!

one long one from mid chest to just above pubes, from when they opened me up after a car accident to see what was damaged internally...I was desparate to avoid having a c-section so that I didn't end up with an upside-down cross on my tummy!!

i have an s-shaped one going from the outside of my lip upwards, where our dog attacked me when i was 7 , a large vertical scar several inches long on my forehead, where i sailed into a brickwall and split my head open when i was 8 and a nasty scar on my wrist where i burnt it getting a pizza out of the oven..lol.oohh, not to mention all the dammned episiotomy scars!

Partially severed my finger 2 weeks ago, so am currently watching a lovely scar forming right around it, whilst waiting for the nail to drop off [barf emoticon]

i have a scar on my hand where i was bitten by my nans rotweiller

one on my left shin from a holiday as a kid where i swam into concrete steps

one on right knee where i fell of a climbing frame onto a piece of glass

one on right cheek where on hol i rolled into a bedside cabinet

one on my head just under hairline from car accident where a wooden plank came thru windowscreen and hit me on the head

one on my left big toe where my mum had me in one of those old kids bike seats where legs dangled and i got my toe caught in the wheel

lol spacecadet...it mainly tends to be when im on holiday i become accident prone even the bike incident was in france..lol
