What do you make of Day 1..?!!?!

I work for Lloyds TSB and we had all the announcements about the new Lloyds TSB Banking Group today. Quite exciting - but I cant see how they are going to get everything done as quickly as was said in the presentation!! Looks quite interesting though.

I just wondered how HBOS employees felt..? How was the announcment recieved?

I do! I think glum was a good way to describe this. It was quite a sad day to be honest - all out HBOS flags had been taken down over the weekend and replaced by the Lloyds Banking group. We all had huddles with the execs of each department and they were trying to be upbeat but there jobs are just as unsecure as us - so felt for them.

I think they are working through the ranks quite quickly as currently recruiting now what was scheduled for end of April.

End of an era!

The LTSB share price dropped to 63p today??!!! Appalling!! Before the whole crisis thing it was around a fiver!

I think they are - they don't need to lend any of the government money I think???

makes me wonder what I would have done...
I used to work for Halifax, left and went back to another devision..got made redundant thus NOT able to be employed by halifax again..

Started work at LTSB and finished when I had dd...makes me wonder if they would have allowed it..? and also I wonder if I would have been reunited with all my old mates .

Good luck with the move..prior to working for ltsb I worked for first national who were taken over by abbey then LTSB..the merger was hard work BUT worked iykiwm..I guess nothing will ever be like it used to BUT be positive. xx

We're now 11p - daren't even mention the companies name but I think you lot must know who I work for.
