How do you remove candlewax from clothes?

Last night I dripped candlewax over my trousers. Due to it being late and having drunk wine I just put them in the freezer overnight( I had a vague idea of hearing this would help somewhere although I think it may have been to remove chewing gum)
Any suggestions , they are my favourite comfy black trousers??

brush off the wax that comes off, and then place a piece of paper over the area and cool iron it. Should do the trick.

When it's cold, put kitchen roll either side of it and dry iron over - (not steam) the heat will melt the wax and the kitchen paper will absorb it. HTH

Thank you, I will get the iron out and give it a go.
