What's the best property search website?

Have been registered with primelocation for ages and just realised there's an agent selling locally that's not listed with them. Don't want to be inundated with alert emails but have put my details on propertyfinder as well. Anyone got any views as to which is the most comprehensive? We're looking to rent initially, and then buy, in London (N1).

www.rightmove.co.uk

don't know about London but rightmove.co.uk is worth checking generally. It has a large market share.

I would say Propertyfinder because my DH works for them....and it is a good website - particularly as it's a new funkier site now. Try the interactive map thing.

Have you tried rightmove.co.uk ?

tatt · 30/03/2005 15:53

Glad you like it Franch - my husband is here to please (as it were!)

frogs · 30/03/2005 17:34

Do you want to buy our house, Franch? The people who looked round three times and loved it have just decided they actually want to live in Highbury. Humph.

franch · 30/03/2005 18:53

Send us a link or something frogs, you never know!

Can only link to Currell's main website , not the house details. But it's in Southgate Road N1, 5 bedroom house.

Lovely house, frogs. How long does it take you to walk to Upper St?

OP posts:

About 10-15 mins to the top of Cross Street, 20 to the Angel. We're just round the corner from Ockendon Road.

franch · 31/03/2005 10:47

Hmm! Well we're not actually going out househunting till DH has had his job interview (end Apr/early May) - you'll no doubt have sold it by then but if not I'm sure we'll be popping round

Where are you off to?

Try this one Halfpercent or this one estateangels good luck with the search..

frogs · 31/03/2005 11:01

We're trading down to Hackney, with the intention of releasing some money to buy a place outside London as well. That's the master plan, anyway...

franch · 31/03/2005 11:11

Thanks mothernature
