I guess I'm the kind of person who craves resolution. I really want to know what happened with:

--spacemonkey and her trip to NYC
--Droile's dizziness with b'feeding
--Chincilla's sicky 'clumsy, lightheaded, unusally emotional' period in December 2002
--Star's AS and Joanna427's RA
--bluestar's pick for a child-friendly London restuarant
--ionesmum's attempt at 'simplifying' her life

Anyone else have want to know what ended up happening with people we gave advice to?

Sorry, I suppose I should have come back and told you. It passed off eventually, but I never did get to the bottom of it. I think I must have been run down. B/feeding seems to make me far too thin, even though I eat like a horse with a tapeworm. The 'fact' on the homepage today made me laugh - breastfeeding saves you £450 per year - or whatever, PAH!
It probably COSTS me about that a month in extra tucker and complan and milk and chocolate ................ I think I'm just what farmers call a 'poor-doer'.

Droile . No need to apologize. . .glad to know things improved.

Well how about that? I rarely have the time to log on anymore, and now here is your message - pretty cool, eh?

My RA is okay - been acting up a bit. But all things considered, I'm quite happy with how the treatment is working. I've recently gotten a very strong urge to have another baby - I think about it constantly, wanting to feel that little one growig inside me and my arms are practically aching to to hold an infant! But as long as I am on medication, there is no way, so I'm not sure what my next step is. It was this time last year that the RA began to emerge, and I was definitely headed for a wheelchair without treatment. What a difference a year makes!

Hope you are well, expatkat...

WideWebWitch · 25/03/2003 09:35

Expatkat, yes, I wonder about various people too. The ones that spring to mind atm are

  • Viv - I wonder how it all worked out with her H
  • Sam29 - I want to know if she's had her baby.
  • Salalex and her marital issues - I wonder how that all worked out. I'm sure there are others but I can't think of them right now.

Just thought I'd solve the mystery relating to my query on child friendly restaurants. It wasn't a very well worded question - I wanted to know what made a restaurant child friendly and which restaurants satisfied those needs. More than just crayons and kid friendly food. The question popped into my mind as I was reading an article about the revamp of Pizza Hut and the ice cream counter aimed at kids and other things that were a bit different. I just wondered if there were any other places that were offering something different. Thanks for all those replies though!

Spacemonkey got back last week and had a great time. She's been a bit too busy to post recently but I shall tell her to do it soon! I will tell you that she and her dp managed to get upgrades both ways though!

Chinchilla · 25/03/2003 20:32

Thanks for thinking of me Expatkat. I think that I must have had a virus or something, together with depression that I hadn't totally acknowledged at that time. I am now on pills for the depression, which seem to be helping. Maybe I was just run down, who knows? Let's face it, with a toddler, that's no weird thing is it!!!

spacemonkey · 25/03/2003 20:49

lou33 told me about this thread so here i am - had a fantastic time in NYC although 2 days is definitely NOT enough time! Spent most of that time shopping, but managed to fit in the empire state, a carriage ride round central park and a trip to the planetarium and imax cinema as well. Also got flight upgrades both ways which helped a lot with the jetlag ...

Had thought about proposing to dp on top of empire state, but actually it's not v romantic up there at all - cold, windy and full of tourists!

tomps · 25/03/2003 22:19

Expatkat - great thread - I always go back to old threads to see what's going on, and currently am wondering about:
Forest / Genia / Yuyee - sleep and breastfeeding issues
Podmog's dd's ears
marz' adventures in N7
hebe and the homeopath
Aloha - I bought the Sociable Toddler book on your recommendation - thankyou, it's wonderful.

Maybe mumsnet could have a noticeboard where you can post a message to a specific person to see how they're getting on or whatever ...

tomps · 02/04/2003 21:14

and SofiaAmes - what happened with your speeding ticket ?

naughtynoonoo · 02/04/2003 21:18

ALso did anybody try any placenta receipes - sorry to lower the tone!

Frieda · 02/04/2003 21:22

And I've been wondering about Dixie's toddler who swallowed washing up liquid ? hope everything's ok with you now, Dixie. I seem to remember you saying you didn't get on line much these days, but we are thinking of you.

WideWebWitch · 02/04/2003 21:42

tomps, SofiaAmes was let off the speeding ticket. You can read the whole thrilling episode here!

SoupDragon · 02/04/2003 21:44

WWW - I thought I'd seen something from Sam29 recently... Ah yes, here it is.

janh · 02/04/2003 22:20

Reviving this thread. Am desperate to know what happened with

--Sanb, are you still posting? I couldn't offer any help about your affair dilemma, but felt terrible to see you knee deep in stones which had been hurled at you from all directions. Is it completely over now? Have things improved in you marriage?

--wickedwaterwitch, have things with the "stalker" sorted themselves out?

I am pathetic--I have SO much work to do, but can't stay off mumsnet today.

OP posts:
WideWebWitch · 03/09/2003 18:46

Expatkat, Mrs Vile Stalker appears to have disappeared as her daughter has now moved onto secondary school so she doesn't have to take the same route as me and we don't therefore pass each other any more. Thanks for asking!

This is a sweet little thread isn't it?

  • Enid, have you managed to stop using supermarkets yet? I often wonder whether you have or not (practically every time I have to go into one of the damn places actually!
  • Lil/Lill (I think? may have got completely the wrong name) what happened with your divorce settlement offer/housing situation? Did he come up with a better offer?
hewlettsdaughter · 03/09/2003 18:55

Triplets - what did you do in Stockport?

codswallop · 03/09/2003 19:13

I dont know half of what you ae talkning about but I am fascinated too! It all sounds like code words/phrases fro something Sinister

Eg"Droile is dizzy when feeding" - could mean somthing like in Allo ALlo - remember?

helenmc · 03/09/2003 20:49
