What do snails eat?

My dd asked me this today and was so dissapointed that I didn't know. I promised her I would find out and I don't want to shatter her illusion that her mother is the fountain of all knowledge!

So what do snails eat????

All my cabbages lettuce broccoli and every other blessed thing in my veggie garden. Snail and me arent on talking terms atm ~ggggrrrrr~

Memories of childhood and trying to grow them in the garden... I would have to say STRAWBERRIES

Tried to grow the strawberries... not the snails...

We have a pet snail - Shelly's favorite food is cucumber, but she also eats lettuce and apple and occasional a bit of carrot. She also eats cuttlefish bone to make her shell stong.

Thankyou, am feeling a bit thick as everyone else seems to know .

DD will be delighted to know once again Mummy knows everything!!
