Car seat dilema before a divorce

Hubbie and I are at loggerheads over car seats for ds age 2 months short of 4. We have bought a Jane Indy which is age 3-11, weight 15kg upwards. He is only 14kg and therefore hubbie says I cant use it. Is he being anal?

weight is the crucial factor and age is a guide

he needs to remain in a group 1 seat until at least 15kg but will be safer in there until 18kg

my excharge didnt reach 15kg til she was nearly 5 and in reception
