Db - my son also gets a rash when upset - although this sems to be lessening as he gets older. It was very noticeable as a newborn, and, according to my midwife, is very common in babies, particularly fair skinned ones. So probably nothing to worry about. How long does the rash take to disappear? My son returns to normal within minutes of stopping crying.

hi!when my daughter was 3 and was just starting nursery if was a long haul and she used to get very upset when i would leave.one day after they rang to tell me to come to the nursery as there was no consoling her, the teacher on the phone told me that she had had a rash appear.when i got there, there was no sign of a rash! this happened on a couple of occasions and when i spoke to my doctor he said yes it was an emotional rash, caused by upset and stress.she is now 5 and i have seen it happen as she is more at peace with situations, but, she starts school on monday for the first time and im wondering if this will return......hopefully not,but i dont worry to much about it!

My son has had this a few times, from about 6 months old he got a rash if he was really upset and crying. It goes within about 15 mins of him calming down.

My ds when an infant always got a red blotchy rash all over the forehead and face when he cried. Kind of looked like red dots. Usually last 5 or 10 min after he stopped crying.

Yep - mine gets a bright red blotchy rash whenver she has an intense yelling session. Sounds normal to me.
