Hobbycraft have some, mostly military aircraft, ships and cars but I did get a lovely 'Shaun the Sheep' kit for dd as she's not got my obsession with aircraft and I wanted her to have a kit to build. Dh was heavily into painting figurines and Hobbycraft have some of them too. Otherwise, do a search for independent hobby shops as hardly anywhere else seems to do them.

Hmmm I hadn't though t of hobby craft....still in the wrong direction though (in an ideal world).

Would I get some in John Lewis. i can;t see it on their website?

Try an independent toy store. Ours does them in their model department.

I have tried one small independant and they don't have what I want (I am looking for a reasonable sized ship/boat...) they mostly had cars and planes.

I have a huge independant toy store to go to tomorrow - I was just looking for a back-pup plan really.
