They get 5x2.5 hours a week so that figure will be taken of your nursery fees I think but i'm not sure if it isn't from the September after they are 3 rather than from their third Birthday.

I thought they were funded in the term after they turn 3 - so he won't get anything until after Easter.

Hmm, I know they get 10 hours but how much is that in actual cash????

How much grant does each child get?? I have googled fruitlessly but I am a fruitless googler! Some one must know???? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

You don't get the money. Just 5 21/2 hour sessions free during term time only. You get it the first full term after their 3rd birthday - So you'll have to wait until Easter. The amount is dependent on how much your nursery charges.

I think it works out about £5 or £6 per session, so about £30 a week if they use 5 sessions.
It is from the term after they turn 3 though, so he might have to wait till easter.

You dont get any money at all - you get 5 free pre-school sessions a week.
If your pre-school charges £8 a session then you'll get that free, if your pre-school charges £5.20 a session thats what you'll get free despite it being a cheaper pre-school.... no cash or equivalent at all..
Your son will get it from Easter as its term after they turn 3

The nursery will get you to sign a form when the time comes and then the nursery get the funding.

My liitle one does 4 sessions a week at a private nursery and the nursery gets £9 towards each session. Even though each session costs more than that we only get 4 sessions not the full 5. So if for example your little one only does 3 sessions at a nursery which costs more than £9 a session you will only get 3 lots if you see what I mean!!!! Ours is averaged out over the year to cover holidays etc. Hope that makes sense!!
