Quick Poll - Do I pick up Flamechick early or not?

School concert today, after Tuesday's one parents could collect (about 3pm instead of 3.30) if they wanted and take their children home.

I'm not watching today's one having seen it on Tuesday, but am considering going in to pick her up anyway.

It is about 50/50 who goes home. She isn't going to miss any learning in that half hour is she as the others aren't there anyway.

She is very pale and just looks wiped out, has swimming this evening too.

It makes sense to pick her up doesn't it???

(I have no idea why I am having soooooo many problems making this decision )

Pick her up early

MerryChristmasPANDAGHappy09 · 11/12/2008 08:22

yes, pick her up early - good fro her and am sure the teachers will not mind having one less child either!

Pick her up.

I have kept DS off today. He had his Winter Production of Jack and the Beanstalk last night from 6 to 7 and then as a treat we let him stay up to watch football. He is very quiet at the moment and is a bit sniffly so he is currently tucked up behind me on the sofa under a blanket playing Indiana Jones on the Playstation having had Nutella on waffles for breakfast. They have a school wide talent show on today so he won't miss much and they break up tomorrow.

Seem a bit bizarre to keep him up late watching football if he is under the weather. And then keep him off school.

Flame I would pick her up early and let her have the extra half hour chill out before swimming.

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 11/12/2008 09:54

Why bizzare bozza? He is 7. Spent all day yesterday at school watching Polar Express and Mr Bean, had school production, is a bit sad as one of his best friend's is leaving - doesn't normally get to watch the football at night (we are an hour ahead here) so we let him lie on sofa to watch it with his Dad. Can't think he will be missing much actual work today as there is a talent show on and I know the teachers are planning on spending the day getting the classroom back to normal after it being used as props storage etc for the show.

yes, pick her up.

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 11/12/2008 16:16

I picked her up, she is def much better for that extra half hour.

I think Bozza was meaning that it was bizarre to choose something that would make him more tired when he was already off colour.

He wasn't tired so much as sad and quiet. Has enjoyed his day at home anyway.
Glad your DD was better for her pickup.

Pick her up and miss swimming.

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 11/12/2008 16:26

No way on earth will she miss swimming - she even turned down a birthday invitation last week because it clashed

Glad he is feeling better for his dvd day
