Days out with a baby!

As the easter holidays are approaching (boo hiss, all baby groups are shut!) was wondering what to do to get ds out of the house! We have a local park (near a lake, complete with infested rats... ) a couple of shops (nothing too exciting and ds HATES shopping, screams until we leave the shops!) and a library (which I have earmarked for a few mornings or afternoons!)
We have a local pool, but I'm nervous about taking him on my own (dp usually comes) plus it's a tad pricy.

Any other ideas?

lunavix there is supposed to be some nice weather in Easter so maybe a trip to the park or walks to do some bird/dog spotting...dd loves this if you can get to a park that is a bit cleaner.
