Return To Nursing Course...Anyone done it?

If so where and how long did it take you and did you get a job after and any funding during?
I am a paediatric nurse,need to undertake the above course.We are in Ireland at the mo and considering returning to UK.

I did it just over 6 years ago after a 9 year break. I did it at Brookes (Oxford) It was 3months long, I got a bursary of £330 (I think)per month plus help towards child care. Certainly no problem getting a job after completing the course.

My friend looked into it last year. She decided against it as the nearest course was in Canterbury and she lives in Tonbridge (1-11/2 hr drive away). She could not fit this in with her childrens schooling.
