Hi everyone. DP has recently finished 6 weeks of seeing a councellor at our local surgery - all arranged by his GP who I persuaded him to see about being very depressed and extremly short tempered, angry and aggressive. I was really proud of him for seeing it through and things are muuch better. The doctor wrote off for him to start an anger management course - dp has since had a call/letter saying that he can't go on the course because, basically, he's not psychotic enough and the only people they see are nutters!!
I was really angry when he told me!! Surely someone who has been referred by their gp and who is brave enough to admit to the problem and go for it in the first place should be allowed to attend?!?
