Wondered if anybody knows of a nice holiday cottage in cornwall (or Devon). Doesn't have to be big, just 2 bedrooms.
Or of a company to go through maybe..??
Some friends stayed in a place that was awful and don't want to risk spending money (that we don't really have ) and ending up with a complete turkey !!
Keen to book something for DH birthday in Feb.

Many thanks for any help x

We've used Helpful Holidays several times and have stayed in some lovely places. They specialise in Cornwall & Devon.

Thanks. Assume they have a website..??

Bosinver is fantastic. The cottages are lovely and there's plenty for the kids to do.

What sort of experience do you want?
Wild and beautiful or bit of a town?

sneekpeeks · 20/11/2008 11:26

Bit out of town really. We love walking and would be great if farms and animals nearby to keep DS entertained.

We love the Lands end area. Sennen, Porthcurno, Treen. It's a bit of a long way but worth it. Close to St Ives and Penzannce too for shops and museums etc.

It's great. We went for the 1st time in Sept. Ds was 2.7 and loved feeding the animals (eventually). We're going again next Sept and will have a 2mth old-ish baby then too.

We stayed in a really nice place that would probably tick all your boxes. It was called Buttermilk Cottage at Splatt Farm, near Launceston - www.splattfarm.co.uk

It was lovely - really nicely furnished, cosy without being cramped, on a farm, with a play area for children and a nature walk down a disused railway track. Lots of pretty walks nearby, and close to Launceston and Bude. One of the best holidays we've had!

Thanks for this, Mrs S !!
Will check it out
