Just read about it in Torygraph.
Says widely used online.
Never seen it.

It's prob. exact equivalent of French 'boff'.

EachPeachPearMum · 17/11/2008 13:20

pmsl- we just named our P-N thread 'meh' last week, because no-one could think of titles!

MadreInglese · 17/11/2008 13:20

I've seen it quite a bit on MN, but not at all in RL

thumbwitch · 17/11/2008 13:44

thanks for this thread - perfect Crimbo pressie for a friend of mine who has been saying "meh" for as long as I've known him!

Flamesparrow · 17/11/2008 14:41

Oooh I might get Newbie for my geek mate's son

EachPeachPearMum · 17/11/2008 15:48

heheh- DH has several shirts from think geek- watch out for import duties though- they are expensive! (Can only have goods up to £18 duty free, and the pound is currently tanking against the dollar, says she who orders stuff from US pretty frequently)

Flamesparrow · 17/11/2008 16:19

Discovered shipping is a small fortune

SheikYerbouti · 17/11/2008 16:21

But it's such a rubbish word.

I don;t like it

I like "boff", it has a bit of punch to show you distaste at the mediocrity/crapness

Meh is just so non-specific - like beige

HuwEdwards · 17/11/2008 16:22

I'm with the sheikh

MadreInglese · 17/11/2008 16:25

Now see "boff" has an entirely different meaning where I come from!

OP posts:
MadreInglese · 17/11/2008 16:25

LOL @ "like beige"

Anyone else want to throw their radio alarm clock out of the window this morning when listening to Sarah Kennedy on Radio 2 pronouncing it "may"?
Can't stand the bloody woman anyway...

thell · 25/11/2008 11:12

I like it - I think that's the whole point of 'meh' - for when you're feeling a bit nothingy and beigey. Or nothing to report.

Meh.
