Girls' petticoats?

Does anyone know where to buy girls' petticoats these days? A friend in NI has scoured the country to no avail, and her sister has done likewise in Windsor and Watford. The daughter is 6-7 size so far too small to use adult ones - surely someone must still sell them??

Don't know where to get them new, but I just bought two beautiful ones with lace edging at a charity shop. Am amazed if they can't be found new in snooty Windsor! I'll look at the labels of the ones I bought to see if there's any clue there.

What about John Lewis, their children's dept. is quite traditional or how about a bridalwear shop or BHS as they have bridesmaid's dresses? Presume you want the type with tulle? If not try a dancing shop. Good Luck.

Are the petticoats for a wedding or everyday? Laura Ashley may do.
If its for a bridesmaid dress try Hoops A Daisy, Wakefield, West Yorkshire. It is an excellent weddingdress shop and they stared out by making hooped underskirts.

thanks very much all - they're for everyday wear and I don't think Laura Ashley or John Lewis can help, but dance shops are a good idea.

Try Next - they have lovely petticoat dresses that can also be worn alone in summer if you don't mind grass stains!

Nmd, you're not going to believe this, but I looked at the labels of the two petticoats I bought, and they're from M+S! they aren't old either.

thanks very much both - will pass on your suggestions, but I've got a nasty feeling M&S has already been tried - maybe they could dig out some old stock.
