Dd (4) has brand new shoes. Insisted on going to bed in them, and I want to take them off before I go to bed as am worried about crushed feet or something , shall I tuck them in with her? She'll wake up crying for them at 2am.

Yes, why not? They're still clean.

They won't crush her feet

If she'll wake up crying for them you can take the chance and put them on her again then, or undo the fastenings a bit now so at least they're loose.

Then tomorrow take her outside in them and say No outside shoes to be worn in bed!

She sounds v cute.

And ruby red and shiny! The upside of no school uniform-great shoes!

Aw how sweet. Is this the beginning of a lifelong love of shoes ala Carrie Bradshaw ?

Thanks IANH-she knows outside shoes go off at the door, so was revelling in wearing them inside-sorry first post was so abrupt-was tidying up too. They are the most exciting shoes she has EVER had, and wants to change her name to Dorothy or Ruby now! Do you think John Lewis shoes will be ok? They were £35, but none of the Clarks ones took her fancy, and the shiny red start-rites were to narrow a fitting, so it would have been a sad shoe shopping day had it not been for JL shoes! Almost feel like I should have paid less because they were not Clarks or SR, god I'm irrational!

She has kept EVERY pair of shoes she has ever had! We used to live in a town with a children's continental shoe shop, so this may be something I inadvertantly started! I think she may be our next C.B., she has the tutu in the credits and the hair!
