Can someone explain how to work FREECYCLE? And is it worth it?

We're getting a new sofa and need to get rid of our old spring up the arse sofa and sunken chair. I haven't got a clue how to work freecycle.

Is a battered old leather settee and chair likely to go on freecycle?

joining is pretty straightforward from the website. no clue whether your stuff will go but there is some pretty odd stuff going on my local site... worth a try.

Easy to use

Addictive

Fascinating what people put 'up' for offer

I've gotten rid of loads of stuff that would've been tipped

It's still ok to sit on, no tears at all in either. It's only just less than 3 year old, the springs are the only thing wrong with it really.

How do I join it I have tried several times but I don't have a hotmail address and that is all it seems to accept

You need to have a Yahoo address. www.yahoo.co.uk . Very easy to set up, then join freecycle. When you join Freecycle make sure you click receive Daily Digest or you will be inundated with emails every time some one puts something up.

If your server thing is AOL, i mean broadband provider, you won't be able to join freecycle. I have tried a few times and finally it gave me a message that AOL customers may not be able to access it. Have no idea why.

I love it.

I have a great wooden playhouse in my garage waiting to be built thanks to lovely freecycle.
