Anyone miss Pancake Day?

I did! However, I believe that in Poland, tomorrow is Fat Thursday so you get a second chance. Unfortunately I can't spell the correct Polish translation of this and my keyboard doesn't have the correct keys anyway.

Anyway, in the spirit of European-ness, go and buy loads of donuts and scoff the lot on Thutsday.

On Thursday, obviously, not Thutsday.

Sadly for me today is Fat Wednesday and yesterday was Fat Tuesday...you get the idea We completely forgot about pancake day too but we did eat lots of sweets which are nicer I think.

Actually, we remembered thanks to an advert on the telly in the morning (we usually forget!) Kids looked decidedly unimpressed with my pancake tossing abilities though! Think doughnuts are much nicer anyway and will definitely be celebrating tomorrow

I'll go for the donuts. I ended up with a cheese sandwich last night after failing dismally with the pancakes. Dp will not eat eggs and I tried using a packet of egg-free buckwheat pancake mix which has been at the back of the cupboard for some time. What a disaster! Probably a good thing, as the mixture actually smelt revolting as I scraped the gloop from my 2 frying pans into the bin.

I hate not having a diary - I missed it too. Am all for Fat Thursday though!
Actually, when is Mothers Day? I hope to goodness I haven't missed that - my mum is far too nice to mention it if I did.

Mothers Day is Sunday 30th March. Don't forget to mention this to your dp/dh too!

I love the idea of Fat Thursday!!! I only remembered it was pancake day as itw as on our menu at work. Yes I made them and we had bananas and chocolate spread ...defineielty Fat tuesday

I'm on a diet (again!) so deceided that it could be missed. However, for the last week I keep getting 'visions' of chocolate spread being spread on to a hot freshly made pancake and then adding some squirty cream. Scrummy yum poo!!

We got out the pancake mix last night to find that it was out of date!! Oh well, i don't like pancakes anyway but the kids were non too pleased!

Just got back from Safeway after buying chocolate and hazelnut french crepes - which we are having hot with ice cream. Only a day late. Me, Diet, What? They better be good

I wish I had missed it - I had to organise a big fundraising pancake tea for our playgroup - great fun but exhausting & I never want to see another pancake!
