Does anyone live/lived in Catterick North Yorkshire?

Long shot I know but just wanted to know what it's like to live there and if there are plenty of activities etc for children?

I used to live a few miles up the road, I only went there because they have a good car boot sale! Not much help am I! are you planning on moving there?

Dh has been offered a better job and since we live over 60 miles away it would be better for us.
Have just been looking at the new Barratt homes there. They are so nice.

It's in a lovely area, lots of nice countryside, close to Richmond which is really nice and 20mins drive from Darlington, which is where I'm from originally, which is a pretty little town, there is alot to do there, activity wise for the children.

DH is working in Northallerton. It seems to be a bit more exspensive there. When we looked on the maps it seemed to be quite a small vilage.
I know theres the army barracks there.

Might be going to see a showroom this afternoon. I'm soooooo excited!!!

I tend to associate it with the army barracks, and the huge sunday market
