wedding in cornwall - help

We (whole family) have been invited to wedding in Gorran near Mevagissey in Cornwall. Anyone know the area and got any brainwaves as to how we can juggle everything? The main thing is that it would be nice to take the kids (there is the possibility of leaving them for two nights with gps but that would mean a mega-rushed roundtrip to Cornwall and back - we're in London - and it seems a shame to drive all that way and not have a bit of a break, stay for a couple of extra days ) but if we take them (aged 3 and 5) it would also be nice if we could get them babysat for the later part of the evening wedding reception. Anyone got any tips? It's a tiny village - the only big hotels offering babysitting are quite a taxi drive away which would be a pita if we wanted to take the girls back hlafway through

What about asking the bride or groom or their family if they know of someone in the village the would recommend who would do it? (I'm presuming that they come from Gorran which is why the wedding is there).

do you have any friendly regular teenagers babysitters who would like a weekend in Cornwall?

When mine were small, we regularly took the babysitter on holiday with the proviso that she babysat at least once a week whilst we were there. She always jumped at the chance of a nice (freebie) holiday. SO, just wanted to agree with what's already been suggested.
