think mine is fixed, but the real test is when we restart the pc. havent dared do it (pc has been switched on since last night)

Incidentally, from what I read last night, this particular virus is a bit like nits () in that it can reside in several files - if you miss one, it can then reinfect the entire PC again. Strongly recommend you do a virus sweep every day for a few days just to double check you got everything.

They start at around £400 at the moment, depending on what spec you're after. You can bet your life though that once you've added a decent amount of memory in etc that it'll be nearer the £800-1000 mark! (at least whenever I spec them it always ends up around that figure!!)

we got an excellent hardly used sony vaio from ebay about a month ago.

cost about £600, nearer to a thousand new
