Just thought I would start this thread, as my DH always take the mickey out of me for when I am hanging out my washing, I always have to have the same colour peg on the same item. I didn't
actually realise this until it was pointed out. Am I the only one who does things like this.

No problems with dishwashers or washing lines here but.......I do add up the numbers on car number plates....I admit it, I do.

I really hate it when people say somethink instead of something. R

I'm a toilet roll weirdo too!
Also can't stand beds left unmade all day. I've even been known to "tidy" the bed with dh still in it!

batey · 27/02/2003 20:11

Rhiannon, just remimded me of another, when people say "pacific" instead of "specific"!!

elliott · 27/02/2003 20:28

Well you all be weird if you want to, I'm going to be wierd!!

And just how DO you hang up socks??

Chinchilla · 27/02/2003 22:46

Well you would be wrong Elliott According to my Word spell check anyway, which is probably wrong, considering that the grammar check told me the change 'I am...' to 'I be...'

You are all certifiable nutters!!!

Are your DHs/DPs aware of these obsessions?

Repeat after me "My name is N and I am an obsessive"!!!!

Of course I am perfectly happy living in my chaos! Now where did I leave that list?

I have a couple that I've now grown out of. I used to sleep with my fingers in my ears; it started because I lived in a noisy house, then moved in with a man who snored really loudly. I only stopped within the last year and a half (I'm 25), since I've been with dp (who is a quiet sleeper!). I also used to have little friends to sniff, first a succession of ribbons and then a piece of string; I couldn't sleep without them. But I never replaced the string when I lost him on holiday last year. Cold turkey was awful :-)

'Issues' I've still got are: not being able to sleep if dp is sleeping on his back (freaks me out for some reason); not being able to sleep if any part of me is not covered by the duvet - especially feet; I can't stand anyone getting near or touching my face, even dp; I can't stand anyone touching my dirty laundry, I always have to load the machine myself; I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive about checking lights and switches are turned off, even more so with dp around - I like to be the last one to bed so that I can check he's turned everything off at night. Although this is a useful and necessary habit really as several times I've found he's left the fridge ajar all night, or an hour after we've finished dinner I'll go in to the kitchen to find the hob still on. Men are a health hazard!

Yes!I'm normal(or am I?).Batey how is it that men can ignore unmade beds,I hate them unmade too.I can be at work all day and come back and find dh hasn't made the beds and all I get is "I don't do beds".

Lindy · 28/02/2003 19:28

What I can't stand is that DH can't even make the bed properly (I mean - how difficult is it to pull the duvet straight?) so I would always rather do it myself. I also can't stand the fact that he can't put the towels straight on the towel rack - but maybe I am weird because we have separate bathrooms(bliss) so why should it bother me?

I have so many other weird habits that I daren't even start on this topic.
