My mum and dad divorced a couple of years ago and my dad moved to another town (about 20 minutes drive away, but i don't drive) Since then i have hardly seen him( about 3 times a year!) While my parents were together he was never actively involved with me and my 2 ds but it wasn't really noticeable until he moved. Anyway, he always kind of made out that i was the apple of his eye but since i had my own kids i realised that his actions didn't exactly mirror that.
He's moving to a small flat at the end of next week and a while ago he did ask if i would house his organ which was his fathers(now dead). I only have two rooms downstairs and while i could fit it in at a push i simply don't want the clutter so told him no way. He rings me tonight saying that he's tried everything and can't get rid of it. that if i take it i can sell it and make some money. I kept telling him no for this and that reason but he just kept on and on. I can see that the only way is to be REALLY nasty, i don't want to fall out with him but i don't want the damn noisy thing stuck in my kitchen. Help what can i do?? I ended by saying that i would try my best to find someone who could store it for him and he said that if i couldn't find anyone he'd drop it off on Monday aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrggggh

Why don't you tell him to hire a storage facility. Some of them are reasonably priced. Try this site as I'm not sure where you live and it seems to offer a lot of areas.

Look around - some say they can store a 3 bed house for as little as 26.00 a week - surely an organ would be a lot cheaper?

Linzoid, if he says you can sell it then presumably he doesn't want it, so why not donate it to a charity shop or old people's home or something?
