Great article on front of Indie by Ralph Steadman who says Hunter said life would be unbearable in his opinion, if there wasn't the option of suicide.....he also said Hunter never believed he'd get past 30...so may be he thought his time was up...

having seen him on tv on the biography channel show about Johnny Depp he came across as a very lonely man.......yet almost incapable of letting anyone into his life. it was fairly well documented he was prone to bouts of serious paranoia.....and if he thought life was unbearable without the option of suicide then just maybe he did before he deteriorated into a state where he wasn't capable of doing it.

its a great loss to the literary world and well, i guess, the world in general.

Very good piece in G2 bit of Guardian as well. I loved Fear and Loathing too.
