I donate to charit shops and shop tee regularly but I wondered as we have so many there may be some organisation that can use them? Maybe I'll just split the box and take it to a few shops! Thanks for the help.

I've taken outgrown books in to school (reception/nursery) and they have been gratefully received.

Oxfam have specialist bookshops, and do raise a lot of money this way.

Or Book Aid is the obvious charity that comes to mind.

littlemissbossy · 22/02/2005 14:24

www.bookaid.org or any charity shop would have them

Hulababy · 22/02/2005 20:40

We took some children's books, along with some toys and a cot, to a woman's refuge - they were very pleased for the,. We did it through someone else - as obviously I couldn't go myself for obvious reasons.

Also, nurserys, doctors, dentists, clinics, charity shop (Oxfam have book shops), hospital, etc.

vict17 · 22/02/2005 20:45

also you can donate them to the library - then lots of other kids will get use out of them

Blossomhill · 22/02/2005 21:08

Took all of mine into dd's old playgroup. They were extremely grateful.

On the Women's refuge thing that Hulababy mentioned, you can usually make contact with womens refuges via the police (obviously they don't publish addresses anywhere)

jessicasmummy · 23/02/2005 08:44

how about a childrens ward in a hospital.... the kids there probably could use some more decent things!

Thanks for all your suggestions!
