DD has come home from school with some books to cover. I was all for using brown paper but do any of you have any other suggestions?

We used to use wallpaper

That was stylish, not.

I don't understand why school exercise books need covering, anyway.

I digress.

Brown paper will be fine.

DD mentioned something about sticky plastic. Has anybody used this and if so am I likely to be able to get it from a stationery shop? (Blush) it's been a long time since I was covering my school books.

WH Smiths used to sell sticky back plastic - but that was in the olden days, not sure whether they still do. As a librarian I have covered many many books with sticky back plastic, but DCs schools always sold plastic cover with school logo (another way to rip off the parents).
