In case you didn't notice my other post - just wanted to say your pea idea is in use now in the moo household, clever Mummy you are!

Was that the "don't even think about eating that!" one? It is a brill idea!

It is - really good! I didn't even post on that thread, just read it, then tried it out on ds2 with excellent results (he also likes "oh, this poor little pea/courgette/potato is sooo lonely - it wants to be with its friends in your tummy")

TC plays a game with Lottie where she puts, say, 5 peas on her plate then says "now - don't eat those peas...don't touch them." Then looks away and Lottie eats one and TC looks back and says "where's that pea gone now?" to fits of giggles from Lottie.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with 11-yr-olds

marthamoo · 20/02/2005 20:54

I think TC's gone again now - some people are just not grateful for their own threads.

DD1 loves peas but I'm not sure she can evangelise about them! (She's a game girl though...)

ThomCat · 20/02/2005 20:57

Ha haaaa, just seen it, I am incredibly excited and graeful for having my own thread. However i'm even more delighted that the pea game works for you. How much fun is it and how great that they are eating their veg. I'm so, so pleased it worked for you. Sitting her all smiley at the thought of it Thanks for letting me know.

I think you sound like a lovely Mummy - in fact I am thinking of giving you my kids. They would be great big brothers for Lottie.

LOL! Would love some siblings for Lotbgs so might take you up on that!

marthamoo · 20/02/2005 21:04

This morning I would quite cheerfully have put them on a train and sent them in your direction! But when they're asleep, as now, they're adorable.

I'm just waiting for DS to be old enough (and fussy enough...!) to try it! Thomcat, you're a gem
