I have 3 lads who have just to door and asked if car needed washing. It does and they are out there scrubbing thier little hearts outs, question is how much do i pay them?

I presume they will be going down street, but most of houses in this cul-de-sac don't have cars as the average age of our neighbours is 70.

Even if they are going down the street, if they're 'scrubbing their hearts out' they deserve a decent rate, and it would be a good neighbourly thing to give it. I think the suggestion of a figure that can be easily split is good. I think it's impressive that teenagers are doiung this sort of thing, and should be encouraged. Lecture over.

I completly agree with you Katch, they did a fab job and i payed them a good rate of which they were very grateful

My DSs sometimes go out with their friends doing this. They are happy to share a fiver.
