Hi ja9, heard the Christening went really well, glad you all had a lovely evening!

We've got the date we got married plus the other ones name inside our rings. You could have one of the bible reading refs you had at the wedding put inside or a the ref for a verse that you and M like/has been special to you since you got married?

Like romilly's idea ! A couple we both know had TUC engraved inside - Totally, Utterly, Completely - I'll let you guess (his fav shop was Next).

tex111 · 16/02/2005 17:18

Wedding date but I'm American and DH is English. We were married 22 Aug 92 and my ring has the British format of 22/08/92 and DH's has the American format of 08/22/92.

chonky · 16/02/2005 17:24

DD's name on eternity ring.

Azure · 16/02/2005 17:32

Our initials and wedding date on both rings. My best friend refused to have her ring engraved "as it would affect the re-sale value" .

romilly · 16/02/2005 18:52

LOL Twiga - Totally, Utterly, Completely Cheeeeesy!

Truly madly deeply stylish sounding guy tho

romilly · 16/02/2005 18:53

azure good one

fostermum · 16/02/2005 18:57

romilly · 16/02/2005 18:59

leglebegle · 16/02/2005 19:37

nothing, completely forgot to do it! did regret it but then got a new wedding ring for christmas so would have been a waste of time anyway.

FrenchGirl · 16/02/2005 19:39

I have 'sv to ab - 29/07/95' and he has 'ab to sv - 29/07/95' (our initials obviously)

emmatmg · 16/02/2005 19:43

I have an engagemnet, wedding and 2 eternity rings and none of them have anything engraved.
DH's wedding ring hasn't either.

We arranged our wedding with little notice so I didn't even think about it at the time and as DH is the most unromantic man ever to walk the earth he'd never have thought about when choosing my eternity rings.

NameChangingMancMidlander · 16/02/2005 19:47

I planned to get ours engraved with our wedding date but still haven't got around to it. Will sort it out one day...

Lonelymum · 16/02/2005 20:04

Nothing but we have matching rings. I love kids idea: one with together on and one with forever. That is so sweet!

Lonelymum · 16/02/2005 20:05

Doesn't the engraving wear away eventually though?
