help my only car key just snapped in ignition need another one promto??

hi i have an m reg nissan micra, and my keys have snapped it is the main one but is broke, does anyone know were i can gwet another one if i can get someone to try get other piece out, without having to spend a furtune ?

does the bit of the key you have left have any numbers or letters on it? If so you may be able to get a spare key from a Nissan dealer.

Otherwise you might be able to get the broken bit out with tweezers or squish a bit of chewing gum in to pull it out (have to be careful you don't gum up the lock though).

no just looked no number on the key, dont know what im going to do, ,my dad reckons that they ll sell them at any key cutting shops , will try get other piece out just it quite far down

how on earth did you manage that? Can you call the AA out?

they are such feeble keys, its a very old car, just hope all does not cost too much
