Found another old friends address, how do I find out if she still lives there?

I am in the UK and she is in NZ.

Is there anyway to check marriages/divorces as I know she kept her maiden name when she married but can't remember her husband's surname? Would hate to ask about Mr NZ friend if she is living with someone else. She is listed with a man btw, not just randomly thinking she has divorced!
