Calling all NEW YORKERS! Accomodation needed!

I have a lovely young french couple who are in need of some accomodation due to a work/college placement. January-July 2009

J has been staying with me here in London for the last couple of months. He's a good guest. No mess, no noise and he's out a lot (so not much feeding necessary). He's a pleasure to have and hasn't been at all fazed by my 4.5yo DTs (or hormonal 13yo DD). His girlfriend will also have a placement in New York and they would prefer to stay together. They are both 24.

Please let me know if you are able or if you have any contacts that would be happy to accomodate them. They can pay for their accomodation but obviously, as students, it would be good if the price were low.

I looked that up too, and her one and only post was over a year ago.

I'm in NY but we're leaving in September unfortunately. People sometimes post accommodation on our work website so I'll keep an eye out - bear in mind that nothing in NY is cheap though!

Tell them to have a look at Craigslist (google it) for listings of rooms for rent too.
