what does this mean please?

have got one of those charity collection leaflets thru door.

they want you to donate clothes, shoes , jewellery , homewares

what would u call homewares ? i have a load of games and toys to get rid of, would they count ?

Homewares are things like plates, vases, candlesticks, saucepans etc

But games and toys always are welcome too.

I've always taken it to mean crockery etc. No idea now I think about it why I've assumed that! I'm sure they'd love games and toys anyway, if it's a charity that has a shop.

Please be aware that these are often a scam. Unless its a charity you recognise (and you might want to check the charity number here or call the charity in question) then assume its a scam!
